What is HaloGo?
HaloGo is a fuel delivery service. We bring fuel to your car so you can skip going to the service station.
Where is HaloGo available?
HaloGo will be rolling out in limited areas to start with. Initially, we are delivering to corporate workplaces in the Greater Melbourne area. In time, we will expand our service areas.
If you are in Melbourne city, and park your car at Secure Car Park 522 Flinders Lane, you can also have your car filled while you are at work. If you would like to have the HaloGo service deliver fuel to your workplace click here.
How much does it cost?
There is a casual service fee of $8.50, plus the cost of your fuel. You can pre purchase your 'fills' (the service fee) and receive a discount for doing so. The more you buy, the cheaper they become. They are valid for 12 months and you can use them whenever you need. You can also share them.
We know that price is important when buying your fuel so we price ours competitively. The pump price on the day is the average price of similar fuel types in your area.
Who can use the service?
Initially, the service is open to those employees whose workplace has signed up to receive the service. Permanent parkers and early bird parkers of secure parking at 522 Flinders Lane can also use the service.
What are your operating hours?
We can operate 24-hours a day. However, for now, most of our customers want the service during business hours. 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
You can book at any time using the app.
How long do I need to leave my car parked?
We ask that you leave the car for at least 4 hours. If you need to leave before the 4-hour window is complete, just send us a message through the app and we will try and accommodate you.
Can I have more than one car on my account?
You can add any number of cars to one account. However, you need to confirm which car will be used for each booking. We identify cars by make, model, colour and licence plate.
If you are a business or fleet manager, you can set up a business account that makes it really easy to manage your vehicles.
What kind of fuel does HaloGo use?
We are proud to exclusively distribute the Caltex Australia VortexPremium Fuels range. We carry VortexPremium 95, VortexPremium 98 and VortexPremium Diesel.
Do I need to worry about security or safety?
We take safety and security very seriously. Our service is compliant with:
- Work Health & Safety Regulation 2017
- Dangerous Goods (Road and Rail Transport) Regulation 2014
- National Trade Measurement Regulation 2009
Our drivers have appropriate qualifications and have undertaken specialist training. All have police checks and clean drivers licences.
If your car is parked in a carpark then the normal Terms and Conditions of that car park that relate to safety and security apply. HaloGo is fully insured.
When will I get charged for my fuel?
Your preferred payment method will be debited once the transfer of fuel is complete. A tax receipt will be then sent to your email account. This will include the price per litre and the volume delivered.
How do I know that I get the amount of fuel that I am billed for?
The sale of fuel is a highly regulated industry in Australia and as such, all of our delivery equipment, technology, systems and processes are required to meet the standards set out by the National Measurement Institute.
Our equipment has been independently tested and approved and, just like a normal service station, we are subject to planned and on-the-spot inspections.
If you think that you have not been billed for the appropriate amount, please take a photo of your fuel gauge and contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What payment methods are there?
We accept most major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard and American Express (credit card fees apply).
We do not currently accept any other fuel charge cards; however, we plan to be able to in time so keep an eye out for this.
Please email us if you wish to use the service but have a different payment method requirement.
For Business and Fleet customers we do provide an invoicing option for credit approved companies. Please contact us if this is a payment method you would like to utilise.
Do I need to be at my car when it is filled?
Our goal is to help you keep life moving, so as long as you ensure that your tank access door is ajar and we can access the fuel tank, then we can fill you up! We will secure it closed once we have completed the fill up.
How will I know when my can has been filled?
You will receive a notification when your car has been filled and your tax receipt will be emailed to you.
How much fuel will be provided?
We fill the tank as close to full as possible.
When can I make a booking?
You can make a booking at any time through the app. Bookings can be made for that day or for any day after that. Bookings made on the day of filling need to be placed as early as possible.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be cancelled at any time before servicing at no charge.
To cancel a booking, please contact us through ‘Help’ in the app.
If a booking is cancelled and the driver is already on their way to your car, then the service fee will be applied.
Is there any reason why you couldn't fill my car?
As a general rule, as long as you have a car – we can fill it!
There are some situations where we may need to contact you before we fill your car. E.g. If the fuel type that you have indicated in your booking is not consistent with markings we can see on your car (if you have selected Diesel but the car has a sticker that says Petrol only), or you have parked in such a way that it is not safe for us to complete the delivery.
In any event, we will try to contact you.
Can I set up a regular fill service?
Yes, you can. When you are making your booking you will always be prompted to see if you would like to make it a recurring booking.
