What is HaloGo?
HaloGo is a mobile fuel delivery service available in Singapore and in Melbourne, Australia.
HaloGo provides onsite re-fuelling for fleets and businesses (regardless of size) - We work with clients to establish a recurring schedule to refuel vehicles on site a commercial and private workplace car parks and in most cases, a one-off, casual booking can also be made.
What is on-site refuelling?
HaloGo operates a fleet of small, specially designed fuel delivery vehicles. The HaloGo fleet is designed to pump unleaded, premium and diesel fuel directly into vehicles. They are effectively mobile service stations that are cloud connected so at the end of the refueling process each customer receives a tax receipt detailing fuel type, litres and cost. Our drivers are highly trained to ensure maximum safety outcomes.
Do vehicles need to be parked in a single location?
No. Vehicles can be located at single or multiple sites and can even be parked on-a street. Before commencing service at your workplace, HaloGo conducts an on-site assessment to make sure our service can be safely delivered.
What is Contactless re-fuelling?
Now more than ever, businesses are looking for ways to significantly reduce the risk of the spread of Covid-19 and that means reducing the amount of ‘high touch’ surfaces that need to be interacted with over the course of the day. Service station fuel pumps and point of sale pin pads can be avoided using the HaloGo service.
When does on-site re-fuelling happen?
HaloGo works with each company to find the most suitable service windows and days to conduct the refueling. This can include agreed 4-hour service windows, nominated preferred days of the week. In fact, HaloGo can even provide an overnight service if required.
Where does HaloGo currently offer the services?
HaloGo operates in Melbourne and will soon be launching in Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra. Our service will also be available in Singapore from July 2020.
HaloGo is quickly expanding its service offering to more cities (including key regional markets), so if you are not in one of the above locations and are interested in the service, please contact us as HaloGo will prioritise new markets where fleet owners express interest.
What are your operating hours?
HaloGo refueling service is flexible and can operate 24 hours a day, however most of our customers are currently serviced between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. If you have a fleet and require service outside these hours, please contact us and a tailored service time will be developed for you.
You can make a booking at any time using the HaloGo app (downloadable from the Apple or Google Play stores).
Is this legal and safe?
Yes. HaloGo has worked with all relevant authorities as well as fire, risk & safety experts and car park OH&S specialists to develop a system of operating procedures that complies with the Australian regulatory framework. Safety is at the core of everything we do.
Our service is compliant with:
- Work Health & Safety Regulation 2017
- Dangerous Goods (Road and Rail Transport) Regulation 2014
- National Trade Measurement Regulations 2009
HaloGo conducts rigorous, safety training to ensure adherence to these regulations and, most importantly, HaloGo places the safety of people, public and property above everything else. HaloGo works with its customers to ensure that the end-to-end delivery of fuel is safe and compliant. For more information please visit our website.
How does HaloGo charges for its service?
Like a service station, HaloGo charges for fuel based on a per litre charge. The per litre rate is set daily and is competitive with the price of fuel in your area. HaloGo also charges a delivery service fee on top of the total fuel charge. For more specific pricing information visit our pricing page.
When will I be charged for the service?
Bookings for the HaloGo services are made via our app which can be downloaded from either the Apple or Google Play store. Once downloaded you will be prompted to set up an account and provide your vehicle details. Additionally, you will be required to submit a preferred payment method (HaloGo accepts all major credit cards, StarCard and AMEX). If you have a company vehicle and the service has been engaged by your company on your behalf, then your organisation will be charged for your fuel purchase.
How does HaloGo save your company money?
- Removing the task of filling a vehicle can save between $10 - $15 in lost time and productivity each time an employee has to stop and fill up their car. In removing this as an employee task you will also remove ambivalence – where employees fill up at the most expensive days / times of the week and do not shop around for the best price
- Fuel Fraud is a serious problem for Australian businesses with many not fully appreciating the level of exposure. Fuel Fraud can cost a business between 10% - 20% of their total fuel spend.
Forms of fuel fraud:
- Misuse: This is when employees use company resources for personal gain, such as fuelling a personal vehicle or filling a friend or family member’s vehicle.
- Slippage: This is when an employee uses company dollars to purchase non-fuel items, such as food and drinks, but falsely reports it as a legitimate fuel purchase.
- Fraud: This is perpetrated by a third-party and can include stolen and skimmed card data. Skimming, as a form of fraud, has been rampant for many fleets in recent years.
Where does HaloGo’s fuel come from?
HaloGo exclusively uses Caltex Premium Vortex Fuels so you can rest assured only the highest quality fuel will ever go into your vehicle.
How long do I need to have my car parked for?
As a general rule, HaloGo requires that your car is parked in its spot for at least 4 hours. If you need to leave before the 4-hour window is complete, you can use our in-app messaging to advise of your departure time and we will do our utmost to accommodate.
Can I add multiple vehicles to my account?
You can add any number of cars your account, however you will need to confirm which car is used for each booking. HaloGo identifies cars by make, model, colour and license plate. You can also list more than one payment method so you can separate your business vehicle from your private vehicle.
If you have a fleet of vehicles, you can use our web-based fleet management portal which makes managing your vehicles easy.
How can I be sure that that I am getting the amount of fuel that I am being charged for?
The retail sale of fuel is a highly regulated industry in Australia and as such, HaloGo’s delivery equipment, technology, systems and processes meet the standards set out by the National Measurement Institute.
HaloGo’s equipment is independently tested and approved in exactly the same way a service station is. HaloGo is also subject to planned and on-the-spot inspections by the regulators.
